About Us

  Surry-Yadkin Residential Services was formed in the early 1980's by a group of individuals in the Surry County community with a mission to provide quality residential care and training for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Today, Surry-Yadkin Residential Services (SYRS) operates two (2) Intermediate Care Facilities and a Day Program/SYRS Gift Shop in Mount Airy, NC.  

As a ICF provider, we offer a full wrap around service to the individuals we serve.   Our team consists of a Nurse, LPN, Contract Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Dietician, and QIDP.   We also assist our clients with taking care of medical needs and dental needs.  In the group home setting, our clients complete household chores, programs to work on activities of daily living skills, personal care skills, money skills, etc.  We strive to provide the best possible care and service to our clients.
